HIGHLY TITRATED CITRUS BIOFLAVONOIDS

With more than 80 years experience and expertise in the field of citrus extraction, the American company Ingredients By Nature, has joined forces with Laserson to promote and market a wide range of highly-titrated bioflavonoids (up to 99% per HPLC depending on the extract).

These natural antioxidants, present in citrus peel find their main application as food additives or excipients (especially to mask flavours).
In their soluble form, bioflavonoids bring together numerous substances, the most concentrated of which are hesperidin, quercetin, rutin and naringenin. Sometimes known as Vitamin P, they trap free radicals.
 
Nowadays, bioflavonoids are most commonly used in multivitamin formulas, one of the leading sectors of the nutritional supplement market. In fact the polyphenolic components of bioflavonoids preserve and regenerate Vitamin C. They are fully absorbed by the organism and this natural assimilation has been the topic of numerous bibliographical studies.
 
Mainly expressed in hesperidin (also called lemon bioflavonoid), the Ingredients By Nature range runs to more than 20 references including:

Hesperidin is a flavone glycoside (a class of flavonoids) predominant in oranges and lemons. Combined with diosmin (another flavone glycoside), hesperidin is equally reputed in Europe for the treatment of venous insufficiency (venotonics).
Hesperidin, rutin and other categories of flavonoids can also reduce capillary permeability (anti-puffiness effect on bags and wrinkles) and protect the health of the skin's collagen fibres. Other properties such as fighting inflammation and reinforcing the immune system have also been widely documented in numerous works.
